Day 4 11/12/09

Well I changed it up a little bit. Instead of doing the axle I am doing the right front fender and fende well. I knew that doing the axle and brakes would be more money than I have right now to put towards the Jeep.
I bought a sand blaster from Harbor Freight to sand blast the years of rust off of the Jeep. I used Quickrete medium grade sand to do the sand blasting and it is doing a great job. I started in the wheel well and started blasting the black gunk that was inside. I was suprised to see body color on the panel after blasting the area. I blasted as much as I could with the time I had today. I found a hole where the fender flare bracket used to mount and the bracket was only attached to the fender flare and not the wheel well. The bolts came out easily to my suprise, but now onto the repair of the affected area. Next I will finish sand blasting the wheel well and then move out to the fender after I do the repair on the hole inside the wheel well. There is also a hole on the back part of the front quarter panel that will have to be repaired before I can prime. Here are the pictures of todays progress.
